Photo day reminders
Get a nudge once a month
We’ll email you on photo day, with what to look for at that stage. Month 3 is when most people see the shedding settle. Month 6 is the first fair comparison.
Photos you can compare
- Same light. Face the same window at the same time of day. Overhead bathroom lights flatter nobody.
- Dry, unstyled hair. No product, combed the same way. Wet hair shows scalp that isn’t really there.
- Same distance. Use the ghost photo to line up your eyes or ears with last month.
- Crown shots. Hold the phone above your head with the front camera, or ask someone to take it.
Your whole timelapse, covered

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. They’re saved in this browser on this device and never sent to us. If you clear your browser data or switch phones they’re gone, so save a timelapse now and then as a backup.
When will I see a difference on minoxidil?
Many people shed a little more in the first 2 to 8 weeks as new growth pushes out old hairs. The shedding usually settles by month 3, early changes tend to show around months 4 to 6, and month 12 is the fair verdict. That’s why one photo a month beats checking the mirror every day.
Can I track my beard?
Yes. Pick Beard and take the same side-on or front photo each month.
Does it work on a computer?
Yes, with a webcam or by uploading photos, but a phone is easiest because you can take the photo in the same spot each time.
